At Fieldstone, we believe that strong academic growth is supported by emotional balance and self-awareness.

Every Wednesday, our Junior Kindergarten through Grade 8 students take part in a guided three-minute breathing and mindfulness practice. This brief yet meaningful pause allows students to reset, refocus, and approach the remainder of their day with clarity and intention.

Though simple, this consistent routine plays an important role in nurturing calm minds, healthy habits, and emotional resilience. Students learn to regulate their breathing, quiet external distractions, and become more aware of their thoughts and feelings. Over time, these moments strengthen concentration, reduce stress, and support overall well-being.

By integrating mindfulness into the school week, we reinforce the importance of caring for both the mind and body. It is one small practice that contributes to a larger goal: developing confident, balanced, and self-aware learners.
