Yesterday, our Grades 6 to 8 students visited the Toronto Holocaust Museum for an important and meaningful field trip that deepened their understanding of modern history.

During their visit, students explored the museum’s carefully curated exhibits and engaged with historical artifacts, photographs, and testimonies that document the experiences of those affected by the Holocaust. The visit provided valuable academic context to their classroom studies while reinforcing the importance of historical accuracy and remembrance.

Opportunities such as this allow students to encounter history in a direct and tangible way. By stepping into a dedicated space of learning and reflection, they gain a clearer understanding of the human impact behind historical events and the enduring significance of human rights, dignity, and resilience.

At Fieldstone, experiential learning remains an essential part of our educational approach. Thoughtfully planned excursions such as this one strengthen critical thinking, broaden perspective, and help students connect their academic studies to the wider world.
